Do I get anything in-game for donating?
No. Interstellar War is committed to no pay-to-win. Donations keep the servers running and fund development, but they will never buy gameplay advantages. We may occasionally recognise supporters with cosmetic titles or name colours, but these have zero impact on gameplay.
Where does the money actually go?
Directly to server hosting, database costs, automated backups, email delivery, and server management. Our monthly running costs are around £100. Anything beyond that goes toward improving the game — better hosting, new features, and community events.
Can I support monthly instead?
Yes! Our Patreon page lets you set up recurring monthly support. Even £1/month makes a real difference when enough commanders chip in.
Is my donation refundable?
Donations are voluntary contributions and are generally non-refundable. If you have an issue with a payment, please contact us via Discord and we'll do our best to help.
I can't afford to donate. How else can I help?
Play the game, report bugs, invite friends, and be an active part of the community. A thriving player base is the most valuable thing ISW can have. You can also help by spreading the word on social media or writing about your experiences.
